These first four solutions are a revision of the current existing outdoor sign. The current version is a bit awkward and off balance due to the combination of upper case and lower case letters and slightly larger D. This revision holds together better as a single mark and utilizes a different typeface that’s both a bit friendlier and stronger at the same time.
These next several variations are inspired by the building and it’s 1950’s architecture. Draft seems to be the most unique and memorable part of the name, so that becomes the foundation of these marks in effort to clearly stake a claim on the ownership of that word. The fresh, minty, surf green is also period inspired and could serve to distinguish The Draft Bar from other eateries and bars.
The two versions directly above really work well and do a good job of emphasizing “DRAFT.” Some of these branding elements could easily be used on their own as well, such as good food, cold beer.
