The Power of Language

The mission of the National Book Foundation and the National Book Awards is to celebrate the best of American literature, to expand its audience, and to enhance the cultural value of great writing in America. “The Power of Language” concept demonstrates the idea that written language is the telling of unique, individual stories. The idea of these different stories is expressed by reflecting the statement “The Power of Language” to suggest that stories or experiences can have multiple meanings. Additionally, by switching out the word power we change the story and connect to our audience of individuals by speaking more directly to them.
